Are you Priced to Thrive?
One of the most common questions I see in the hairstylist forums is, “What does everyone charge?”
The truth is, it doesn’t matter one bit what someone else is charging.
If you want to make a profit, there are a multitude of factors that need to be considered that are specific to YOUR business; including, but not limited to:
- Cost of your space
- Desired income
- Cost per color application
- Hours of operation
- Level of experience
- Length of service
Most stylists base their prices off of what the stylist next to them is charging; who also probably based their prices off of someone else.
The result is that no one really has any idea why they are charging what they are charging.
99% of the time when I start working with private clients, we discover that not only are they NOT making a profit; oftentimes they aren’t even covering their expenses - and had no idea that their prices were so far off from where they needed to be.
The good news is - it’s all just a math equation.
What it is:
I will share with you all of the factors to consider when determining your pricing, the formulas to calculate your hourly rate or cost per service, and how to begin the transition to a different pricing structure without scaring all of your clients away.
Each training will come with homework to implement as I walk you step by step through the process.
