I am a hairstylist of over 13 years, a business coach/consultant for stylists and salons, an independent educator, and mom to an amazing little boy and girl.
I've learned through my journey in the beauty industry that being a talented hairstylist has nothing to do with being a fully booked hairstylist.
I struggled in my business, for a very long time, because I thought I had to. I didn’t know that I had all the power within me to change my circumstances, at any time.
About 8 years into my career, I had a major mindset shift. I completely changed the way I was running my business and immediately doubled my best month ever in 3 weeks.
I went from having openings every week to being booked solid for 2 months out. I did this by using social media to my advantage, restructuring my prices, and taking control of my appointments instead of letting the clients run the show. By doing those things, I began to attract clients that WANT to pay big money for their hair.
